The Bucharest’s Museum, hosted by the Suţu Palace, was first opened in 1959 (the 100th celebration of the unification of Moldavia with Wallachia). Founded in 1931, its previous headquarters were at 117 Victoriei Avenue.

The Suţu Palace is an impressive monument of architecture built in the neo gothic style over 150 years ago and it was an aristocratic residence. The vast collections of the museum showcase Bucharest’s history but also the Romanian and world history, and they are presented in permanent and temporary exhibitions. There are many cultural events which take place here that gather people in love with history, art and beauty.
