Included in the Bucegi Natural Park, between Sinaia and Strungă Pass, The Steep Prahovean Nature Reserve protects many spectacular landforms of the Bucegi Mountains. The dramatic and unrivaled sceneries are due to the staggering heights of 1 200 m, this being completed by the steep valleys and tall ridges with coniferous beech and tisa forests at their foot. The flora is really enchanting, many protected species like the edelweiss or the red vanilla orchid can be found here.
