The Steam Locomotive Museum was opened in 1972 to celebrate 100 years of production of steam locomotives in Reşiţa.

There are 16 locomotives that can be admired in the park’s museum and 14 of them were built in Reşiţa in different periods of time.

The most valuable is the RESICZA locomotive, among the first steam locomotives in the South-Eastern Europe.

The steam locomotive production in Reşiţa ended in 1964, after 233 years of activity and a production of over 1491 steam locomotives. The exhibits in the museum reflect the glorious past of Reşiţa.
