Located in the Baroque Complex, the Roman Catholic Cathedral has a history which spans 250 years. As part of an ensemble which also includes the Bishop's Palace, the cathedral was finished in the classical Baroque style in 1780. Even now, the Roman Catholic Cathedral is one of the monumental buildings of the city. With its remarkable size, and its interior, it has a special combination of colours which is beautifully enhanced (highlighted) by the sunlight.
The Cathedral's organ, which was given as a gift by Maria Theresa, the Empress of the Habsburgs is impressive and still functional.
