The Red Church


The Red Church is located on 61 Revolutiei bd, Arad, Arad county.


You will discover the Red Church, a Neo Gothic jewel, in the middle of the little Luther Square. The church got its name from the red bricks which cover the whole construction. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the Evangelical Lutheran church impresses with its tower of 46 m in height, its Neo Gothic decorative stained glasses which was ordered from Budapest and its special paintings found in the altar. In the Red Church you may have the opportunity to listen to organ concerts which are periodically organized here.

Did you know?

The Red Church initially had three bells made out of bronze, but two of these were melted during the World War I to be used as weapons.
